8/15/2010i am just back from a big fat nigerian wedding. i must say that it has become very time-consuming being a professional akwa ibomite. but this was the most fun I have had at a wedding in a long time, so i can't complain. great food, music, dancing and people--congrats to the newlyweds!
i'm posting one of my flipcam vids for you all to enjoy the ashebi women dancing in the bride and groom. i keep asking my aunties whether i must be married before i can also wear ashebi, but i can never get a straight answer. --AL.

ReplyDeleteI don't think you have to be married to wear ashebi. I've been to a few weddings where friends of the newly weds (many of whom were single) wore ashebi.
@udee: for a modest price, i go send u one small card. lol! the wedding was actually in rhode island but there was definitely a strong nyc contingent in the house. ;)
