A New Canon

1/11/2008

If I were in charge of rewriting the canon, it would look a lot different than it does today. Now that we have a black family at the center of the world, it's time that we shifted our reading material, too.

Enjoy,
Iquo.

  1. say word.

after years of schooling as an english major/poetry writer, i know i've mused about rewriting or getting rid of the cannon all together. much of what is PRAISED doesn't speak to me,but in order to gain legitimacy in academia, you're forced to study it. great list tho.
